Last week I was a chaperone for the fifth graders of Meadow Homes for outdoor school at Camp Arroyo. Camp Arroyo is located just south of Livermore, CA.
The Camp Arroyo Dining Hall and to the right is Cresta Blanca, a huge rock that is shown in later pictures.
A view from the dining hall on the cabins. The cabins are made environmentally friendly and are placed to be most energy efficient with the sun.
These are the leaves of a Bay Laurel tree which are common in California. It was raining about most of the week and part of the time in our hike.
This is Cresta Blanca up close a little bit. There was a massive mudslide in the early 1900's that was said to produce a sound that could be heard from San Francisco.
After reaching Cresta Blanca we hike up even further on this giant hill which overlooks both Camp Arroyo on it's right and a lake on it's left.
